I've always loved interiors. In fact, I worked in the industry before I started sharing my life online, so I suppose I've always had an eye for it. I was the one rearranging the furniture on a Sunday, never quite able to leave a room alone! These days, the questions I get asked the most are all about my home, from the paint on my walls to where my kitchen table is from. I recently shared this reel of my kitchen, and the messages haven't stopped since, so I thought I'd answer them all in one go.
First up, the rugs
This is the one I get asked about the most! My rug is the Distressed Abstract Beige Rug - Lena from Kukoon, in size 240x330, and I am obsessed with it. It has that soft, washed-out pattern that hides everything, which is exactly what you need in a kitchen with this crew traipsing through it.
Rugs can honestly help pull a whole room together and make the space feel finished. I also have the Rustic Jute Round Natural Circle Nursery Rug in the twins' room, and again once I put it down on the floor the whole nursery came together.

Adding some greenery
I'll let you in on a secret, the plants are fake, and from Ikea! With everything else going on in this house, a real plant would not stand a chance. They add that bit of life to the corner without any of the upkeep, and no one has ever copped that they aren't real (until now!)
I have my ones a while, I think they might have discontinued them but I'll keep an eye out! I seen the above ones on Amazon which are also lovely, delivered straight to your door, what more could you want!
Onto the lighting
The pendant lights over the table were one of the first things we picked, and they have dated so well. Three of them hung in a row makes such a difference over a dining table, they give the whole room a lovely warm glow of an evening. I got mine from Bright Ideas in Athlone, again because I have them a while I don't see them online but they have lots of lovely ones to choose from!
The paint on the walls
Advising on what colour paint to go with is hard because a shade can look completely different in one area of the house to the other depending on the light. We used Hidden Cove by Colourtrend in the kitchen, it's a warm neutral colour that goes with absolutely everything and never feels cold.
My one tip though, always grab a tester pot first and live with it for a few days before you commit. Paint and painting is expensive now so make sure you're 100% on the colour as there's no going back!
My table and chairs
The table and chairs land in my DMs on repeat. The grey ring-back chairs are gorgeous and surprisingly hardwearing, which really matters when they are pulled in and out a hundred times a day. [Add where they are from.]
